ELVIS TELECOM Announces Successful Test Of Audiocodes VoIP Gateways In A Network Managed By MERA VoIP Transit Softswitch

BrizNet and MERA Systems have completed a joint test of equipment from AudioCodes Ltd and MERA VoIP Transit Softswitch on an Elvis Telecom network. BrizNet contributed VoIP gateways Mediant2000 and MP-104FXS manufactured by AudioCodes. The test program involved experiments with three most common interoperation arrangements of these gateways with the Cisco (2620, 5350, ATA186) and Nortel Networks (Meridian) equipment in a network controlled by MVTS.
The testing proved full compatibility of the equipment by AudioCodes and MERA Systems with the carrier-class facilities of Elvis Telecom's partners. "The test results offered yet another evidence of AudioCodes' reputation as a leading VoIP equipment vendor, and provided an additional proof of the excellent functionality of MERA VoIP Transit Softswitch", says Mikhail Nemirovsky, Director of BrizNet Moscow office.

The Mediant2000 is a 19" 1U device with the 1-16 E1 channel capacity that comes supportive of a diversity of PSTN signaling: E1/PRI, E1/R2MFC, E1 DTMF, SS7. The MP-102/124FXS/FXO — 220o45o235 (MP-124FXS — 1U) devices allow operation of telephone, fax and modem equipment via the FXS/FXO interfaces.
