MERA Friendly Ensures Fast and Easy VoIPLink™ Connections with VoIP Carriers and Helps ITXC Extend Customer Outreach

Toronto, ON, Canada — March 30, 2004 — MERA Systems, Inc., a forefront supplier of carrier-grade VoIP products for revenue-generating peering of packet networks, today announced that ITXC Corp.® has joined MERA Friendly, MERA's partnership program designed to ensure complete and proven interoperability of MERA's solutions with ITXC's network — ITXC.net via its VoIPLink™ service.

The MERA Friendly program was designed for Tier 1 carriers to assure their MERA-based networks can easily and quickly establish and maintain fast and cost-effective VoIP connections with partner carriers anytime, for any desirable destinations. Based on the program, MERA and ITXC have carried out joint testing to confirm interoperability of MERA's MVTS session controller with ITXC.net via ITXC's VoIPLink™ service. Furthermore, ITXC and MERA will continue working together to ensure seamless connectivity of subsequent versions of the MERA solutions with ITXC.net — keeping MERA a VoIPLink Ready vendor and ITXC a MERA Friendly carrier.

The MERA Friendly program pursues a win-win strategy and guarantees measurable benefits to all the parties involved. ITXC receives enhanced access to prospective customer carriers through instant VoIPLink™ connectivity with MERA solutions, as well as joint promotion for extended outreach in desirable markets.

MVTS-enhanced carriers gain the following benefits:

"Over the past year, we have witnessed an ever increasing number of carriers using the MVTS session controller", says Jeff Bak, ITXC Director of Product Management. "These carriers want to connect to ITXC.net directly via our VoIPLink service. Fast and easy interoperability of ITXC.net with MERA's session control technology helps them establish a quick cost-effective option for their off-net origination traffic or allows them to start generating revenue for terminating ITXC's traffic quickly. From a global perspective, connectivity of networks and equipment in today's multi-vendor environment is a crucial issue for carriers and vendors alike, and by teaming up with leading vendors to ensure networking compatibility, we are driving the global telecommunications ecosystem to greater efficiency and growth."

"MERA is excited to partner with ITXC, a world-renown carrier's carrier, to facilitate cooperation between industry players in the VoIP space", says Natalya Korobkova, MERA's Marketing Director. "We regard our partners as our friends and are willing to go 'the extra mile' to ensure that MERA solutions are fully interoperable with multi-vendor equipment and deliver mission-critical, anytime-anywhere connectivity to carriers. To guarantee complete interoperability of our solutions with carriers' networks, we are providing MVTS users with high-quality technical support that extends to issues related to non-standard network configuration or the use of vendor-specific implementations."
