New Release of MERA Calling Card Platform 1.1.0

MERA Systems announces release of the MCCP, the v.1.1.0 version of its IVR calling card application for IP telephony. The application now features a more flexible user authorization procedure, better compatibility and allows visualization of active calls statistics.

Flexible user authorization

The MCCP supports PIN-based, ANI-based and H.323 alias user authorization mechanisms. Now with the H.323 authorization employed when the user's identifier is configured in a gateway or IP telephone, user authorization is performed automatically and you can make a call without the need to enter the authorization code and provider's MCCP access number. This mechanism is instrumental for connecting corporate clients that operate own VoIP equipment.

Call statistics monitoring

The new MCCP version allows viewing statistics for current calls with the help of a common web browser. The MCCP web-monitor provides the following information: caller's phone number, called party phone number, the IP addresses of terminating and originating gateways, duration of a call session and individual conversation. This functionality also permits termination of an active call session or current conversation only and allows you to make a new call skipping the reauthorization stage.

GSM support and voice quality control

Along with the G.711, G.723 è G.729 codecs the MCCP now features the GSM standard. This allows carriers to utilize "narrow" Internet links for connecting devices (for example, soft-phones) that do not support low bit rate codecs. Besides, the new version features additional configuration parameters that allow customization of the jitter buffer, thus ensuring more flexible application adjustments dictated by the call transmission environment.

Enhanced compatibility

The MCCP's new configuration parameters allow the application to seamlessly interoperate with VoIP solutions offered by various vendors. Now the application is compatible not only with the Samsung Media Gateway and CISCO ATA but also with gateways from Quintum, WellTech, D-Link, Planet, BosCom and others.
