MVTS II New Version 1.1: Flexible Routing Opportunities for Effective Partnership

MERA announces the release of a new version of MVTS II softswitch. Release 1.1 includes new capabilities that allow carriers to deliver high-quality services addressed at various market segments, increase profitability using intelligent routing and exercise automated system control.
Flexible routing policies allow MVTS II owners to implement a wide range of routing scenarios, based on a variety of route hunting criteria (route capacity and route load, day of week, time of day, gateway precedence and availability) and combinations thereof. MVTS II v.1.1 provides tools for the analysis of billing information in the perspective of available rate options. To guarantee the required level of service, the system keeps record of a variety of routing path indicators (QoS, ASR, PDD) that allows MVTS II to decide on call routing. By this means, MVTS II routing capabilities increase the carrier’s business efficiency and profitability minimizing the system administration costs.
The new version features enhanced tools of interaction with VoIP networks of various topologies due to the newly added NAT traversal function which helps to avoid problems with NAT routers during VoIP-service delivery. The new release of MVTS II ensures end-to-end connectivity to corporate and private user terminal equipment sitting behind NAT routers.
MVTS II pre-billing capability provides carriers with flexible discount and rate management options both for partners and hosted softswitch clientele. The new MVTS II v.1.1 billing capabilities include: import of rate plans, charging partners for traffic, CDRs re-rating helping avoid possible mistakes caused by rate changes. The new MVTS II billing capabilities can save MVTS II – owners from addressing to third-party billing applications when deciding on charging for traffic.
